Archive for Space is a multidisciplinary design practice based in London. Established in 2019 by Arabella Maza and Stephen Maginn. Our work extends across Architecture, Interiors, industrial design, installations, generative art, and set design. The studio adopts a unique approach to each work, drawing and synthesizing an extensive archive of references and disciplines blending our research into a conscientious yet individual experience.
In addition to our design services we are ardent advocates of knowledge dissemination for we believe that design flourishes when it thrives upon collective brilliance. The ‘Archive’ hopefully unfurls a deeper understanding of design through our practice’s distinctive lens.
Side Table 001. is a made to order design by Archive for Space, a multidisciplinary design practice founded in London in 2019. Side Table 001 was designed to celebrate raw steel through exploring the material’s cyclical nature. Made from standard tube sizes and gauges, the entire piece is fully recyclable. The raw materials are untreated allowing the surfaces to develop a patina over time that tells the story of the piece. Each piece is handmade in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.
